What is the Foundation Academy?

We’ve identified a major problem in the pipeline of talent in Australasian motorsport – and that is there isn’t one. We want to fix that.

Through the WAU Foundation Academy, we are providing a dedicated pathway for Australasian motorsport talent to follow to reach the elite level… but not just drivers.

The WAU Foundation Academy’s sole purpose is to bring the best people to the top of our sport, whether that be drivers, engineers, mechanics, or commercial staff – no matter their background.

We do that providing a long-term pathway for individuals to flourish in all levels of motorsport, with our 2024 programme including the Toyota 86 Series, Dunlop Super2 and the Supercars Championship. Members of the Foundation Academy will get hands on experience, behind the wheel or in the garage, with a clear pathway forward for progression.

Put simply, it will allow the best talent to rise to the top – away from the usual limitations in motorsport such as wealth and connections.

Your help shaping the future

Being a part of the WAU Foundation Academy means investing in the future via philanthropic support. It means shaping the next few decades of our sport – and giving an opportunity for the elite talent in all motorsport fields to thrive, no matter their background.

We are inviting investment opportunities to shape the future of Australasian motorsport via tax-deductable donations to the WAU Foundation Academy.

Walkinshaw Andretti United has committed $1million dollars to the program, brought to life by the Australian Sports Foundation. All donations can be made through the ASF website, noting Walkinshaw Andretti United Foundation Academy as the beneficiary, and are tax-deductable and strictly confidential.
