It’s a similar story to what we’ve seen all weekend, another entertaining race with chaos at every corner, Ryan Wood crossing the line in P6 and Chaz Mostert right behind him in P7 for Race 6.

The morning kicked off with two back-to-back qualifying sessions, the first being 12 minutes and the second eight minutes. With short session times there would be only one opportunity for drivers in the final session to get their fast lap.

In Race 6’s qualifying Ryan was the ninth fastest car with Chaz securing the spot behind him on the grid in P11, for Race 7 Ryan placed himself in P15 with Chaz P23 after being impeded on his fast lap by Will Brown.

As the engines roared for Race 6, both cars got off the line well, Ryan slotting right behind Chaz as they worked their way forward as a team up to P7 and P8.

An early tangle with Chaz and James Golding resulted in Chaz receiving a post-race investigation for the incident which we are still waiting to hear the results on.

With a safety car riddled race, there were minimal racing laps for Ryan and Chaz to show their true race pace, maximising on the laps they did have, they pushed hard to move through the field with Ryan Wood crossing the line P6 and Chaz Mostert P7.

It’s been great to have so many of our incredible partners and supportive fans on the ground this weekend, we love having your energy around the team.

Tomorrow is our final race of the weekend with the lights going out at 10.25am AEDT, we are starting further down the field for that one so we will be ready to charge for that one.

Ryan Wood

“A solid result for us today ending up P6, we managed to stay out of the chaos today which was good.

“We go again tomorrow, starting a bit further back than we would like but if the last few days of racing are anything to go by, anything could happen!”

Chaz Mostert

“Another day of argy-bargy, crossed the line in P7, car seemed pretty speedy.

“Looking forward to getting through one more day tomorrow.”
